Oh, I think Jennifer is charming and really looks like a girl from 1805. All I am saying is that Darcy does a better job in this particular scene. Anyway, she was supposed to feel "more than common awkwardness", so it's difficult to show love. Her exclamation at 2:42 sounds a little overplayed. Her only loving glance is at 3:00. But it's very nice!

So, in fact, I don't know why they decided to jump directly to the next paragraph: "They walked on, without knowing in what direction. There was too much to be thought, and felt, and said, for attention to any other objects." Maybe the idea was to show them too overcome with deep feelings to speak... Anyway, Collin Firth tells enough with his eyes. But I'm not 100% sure that Jennifer Ehle quite pulled it off here. (Although I like her a lot.)

I haven't seen this movie but what I have seen of it I don't like. I watched the '05 movie. Loved it. Read the book. LOVED it. But when I read it I imagined the '05 people. Anyway, I loved the chemistry between MacFadyen and Knightley. The first proposal was...stomach-turning if very heart-breaking. Also I found Mr.Darcy to be likeable and given to vulnerability. Firth didn't show that. And there was no chemistry in the marriage proposal. ^ How Sad.

I've read the book (how did you know I haven't?). And comments are for everyone. I have my opinion, and what anybody else thinks is irrelevant. Everybody is welcome to have their own opinion. You not going to tell me what I should think. It's ridiculous. The TV series which I heard about and watched just now, are so boring. The girls look like they are 30 years old. So stiff, no emotions at all. No chemistry, they look like they are little children reciting their homework. All of them.

continuation: You have to respect Keira and Matthew for what they did, especially in that scene because not all actors can reach that vulnerable, open state convincingly. I don't think comparing the two versions is fair. This was a mini series, and as such, got to include every detail of the book. The other had to be condensed into a 2hr version as well as be able to appeal to a wider audience in order to make money. Nothing compares to the book though.

I know people are going to hate me for this...but i do prefer the ending of the new movie to this one. This ending works very well in the book, and had Jane Austen written the 2005 ending in her book, the novel would have suffered. That being said, the ending of the 2005 version works much better on film than this mostly because it appeals to a larger audience, many of whom have never read the book. Was it proper decorum of the time, no, but the emotion coming from both actors was amazing.

This was not a early stoppage. It was a perfect stoppage, right before Bennet got in more licks. Noon was just there ready to get pounded. I'm a big fan of Goldberg, cool guy but Herb stopped it at the right time. Seems like Noon lost his confidence after he got off two clean punches and Bennet didn't budge. What Noon should have done was just pounce on it and be the aggressor after those punches but instead he turned into the prey and got ate up.

I really liked Lynn Moody too, a pity she was killed off, I would have liked to join the team and have her bring her expertise in solving problems the way Karen and Mack did for example. She was great when she did it to help Val prove Jill was the baddy. The scene where Val jogs and snaps is simply GREAT and one of the best of the whole show. Finally snapped? The character of Val was a 14 season meltdown. It started from show one and kept going. The three characters who the main usually stories revolved around were Val, Abby and Greg. They were the trouble makers and catalysts and kept the drama going.

My favorite thing about this episode is how once again, Val somehow manages to turn someone else's tragedy into her own (it really is all about her) and has a very public, shameless, over-the-top, freakout - while jogging!. Joan Van Ark is priceless.

Michelle Lee and Nicolette Sheridan look the best they ever did on the show in this episode. Lynne Moody, also a beauty and a really good actress, wasn't used to her potential on this show. But her death episode, and the episode where her daughter got revenge on the killer were two of Knots' most memorable shows.

It's not complaints. It's observations. I like to step back a bit. I think this little production is shit, yeah, but I can appreciate an imagination. Mine goes on for miles. It's almost scary sometimes. I think they should have tried to make it more realistic, to be enjoyed more, and take that liability of an actress back to pizza hut.

This is just ridiculous. If this were actually realistic, then 1) Mr. Bennet would be absolutely scandalized at seeing a girl in very strange men's clothes 2) He would immediately notice how different her voice is, so different that he would either think she was a product of the street or an exotic foreigner 3) He wouldn't start being all familiar with her and telling her random things about his wife 4) she wouldn't have been able to be there in the first place without his permission ..yawn..
